Malavika Mohanan Reveals Why She Said Yes to Prabhas’ The Raja Saab

A Strong Female Role in a Mass Film

Another important factor in Malavika’s decision was the substantial role she was offered in the film. She pointed out a common trend in big-budget commercial films, where female leads often end up playing secondary roles with limited screen time. However, that wasn’t the case with The Raja Saab.

“In most films, especially as the hero gets bigger, the smaller the role gets for the woman. But, it wasn't the case with The Raja Saab," she explained. She further elaborated, “In this film, the girl is present throughout. She has a very good role and some really cool scenes. It’s so rare to get something like that in a film as massive as this.”

Excitement to Work with Prabhas

Malavika also expressed her excitement about finally working with Prabhas, one of the biggest stars in Indian cinema. “Everything just seemed to fall into place in the right way. I always wanted to work with Prabhas. I am the biggest Baahubali fan,” she admitted. Her admiration for Prabhas and her enthusiasm for the project indicate that she is truly invested in making this film a memorable one.
